Scan - Uppercase SCID

In Scan, all alphanumerical characters in the SCID are automatically converted to uppercase when the SCID is scanned or entered manually.

In - Patient matching

When scanning a SCID into MedView Flow, the patient matching criteria have been improved in order to reduce the incidence of scripts belonging to the same patient being displayed under separate Patient tabs, due to a slight mismatch in patient details.

This enhancement ensures that scripts for the same patient are grouped correctly, and pharmacists can quickly and reliably check how many patient scripts are included in the same basket.

Script image - Authority scripts

The virtual image of Authority scripts displays the Authority script number and Approval number (if present) on both the Original and Repeat scripts.

Script image - Repeat virtual image

In Queue and Checking, the virtual image of a repeat displays the items that were previously dispensed.

Script image - Brand Substitution option

The mention Brand substitution not permitted is now included on the script's virtual image (Original and Repeats).

If this option has been selected by the prescriber, the mention displays in bold text on the script's virtual image (Original and Repeats).

Script image - Prescriber qualifications

The layout of the virtual script image (original and repeats) has been modified to include the prescriber's qualification below the prescriber's name.

For example, BA, MBBS, DCH, FRACGP, FARGP.

Script image - CTG Script

The virtual image of scripts (original and repeats) dispensed under the CTG arrangement now displays the CTG Annotation Code next to the patient's Entitlement number.

In and Queue - Remove items from Basket

Pharmacists can now edit the contents of baskets, if patients indicate they no longer want specific items filled in today.

After scanning a script, the option to Remove is displayed next to each item.

Removing the only script in the basket also removes the basket.

For paper-based scripts with a barcode, selecting Remove results in the removal of the entire script with all the medications.

Scripts can also be removed from the baskets in the Queue.

Select next to each script to remove it from the basket, then confirm that you want to Remove Script at the prompt.

In - Focus on last Patient tab

When scanning scripts for multiple patients, the focus remains on the last scanned Patient tab.

In - Carriage Return on Scanning SCID with an iPad Camera

When scanning SCID with an iPad camera, a carriage return is automatically added after each scan. Users no longer have to press [Enter] on the keypad in order to clear the screen for the next scan.

Scan - Highlight invalid SCID

When scanning an invalid SCID, the SCID number is now automatically highlighted and a red border is added to the SCID field, together with red error message displayed under the SCID field.

Scanning another SCID automatically clears the invalid entry. Alternatively, pharmacy staff can select the Manual entry form.

Fixed in this release

Terminal settings - Copy

In Terminal settings, the Access Keys SHIFT, ALT and CTRL are no longer displayed when a terminal ID is pasted into the Terminal IDfield.

Script image - Original script (no repeat)

In Queue and Checking, the virtual image of Original scripts with no repeat is now accurate, and scripts in these columns are now correctly flagged as Dispensed. Previously, the virtual image for these scripts included a Repeat section. While these scripts had been dispensed, they were incorrectly flagged as Active. This has now been resolved.

Script image - Repeats

In Queue, the display of the script image has been corrected to ensure that only one image is present when selecting original scripts.

Previously, original scripts were displayed alongside their subsequent repeats. This has now been corrected.

Queue - Baskets display

Baskets sent to Queue are now displaying in the Queue column as expected.

Previously, some baskets remained in the IN section even after selecting Add to Queue.

Queue and Checking - Patient details display

Under unusual circumstances, the Patient section was missing from the script display in Queue and Checking. This has now been resolved and the Patient section is visible at all times when the content of a basket in displayed on screen.

Errors - Format exceptions

The mapping of fields has been enhanced in order to reduce the occurrence of scripts not being loaded in MedView Flow due to format exceptions.
